Housed in an former water mill set by a river, Le Clos de la Vouge is located in the heart of a Burgundy vineyard, between Dijon and Beaune. We discovered a lovely hotel with the atmosphere of a boutique hotel, the rooms were large and really clean. The staff was great and was available for any problem. There is even a pool which on hot days like ours was just what we needed.

Clean, tidy, charming. In a lovely quiet traditional small village. Host was excellent. Food (menu de jour) was great. And wine recommendations (local champagne and a red) were perfect. Sadly we had to leave early so didn’t get to sample breakfast.

Situated in Change and within 23 km of Hospices Civils de Beaune, Les Cabottes has a garden, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. Lovely setting with a view on the vineyards. Very comfortable stay in the newly refurbished Maison d'hotes with a spacious room, comfortable matress (no topper, but high quality and good for both back and lateral sleeping styles) and absolute silence (in the night, until the church bells ring at 7am..!). Young and very professional (and hipster) hosts, who can complement the stay with high-level recommendations and loads of other services. Loved the touch of a record player in the room with blues viniles. Great access to nature and just a 5-10 mins drive to several of the most interesting appellations of Hautes Cotes de Beaune wineries, from Meursault to Pommard, Volnay or Santenay. Highly recommended. Will be back when in the region.

Greta location and the apartment was clean and bright. we could walk to the shops and dinning and had a wonderful dinner at le Grill. the owner Marie was lovely and helpful. I would come back and stay again.

Staying in a beautiful chateau in which the owners kept all original features, renovating with taste and attention to detail. The owners itself live on the property and they and their small team made us very welcome. We did a small wine tasting which was excellent. They store and offer multiple vines from the close neighbourhood vineyards with very reasonable pricing. It was so much fun!

Gode opplevelser i Frankrikes spiskammers - Bourgogne
Det ligger mange restauranter på "øya" - i Rue de Strasbourg. Denne gangen tok vi turen til noe annet enn typisk fransk. På couscous-restauranten fikk vi grei mat til fine priser. Øl-fabrikken ved Monoprix, måtte vi også innom. Den største matopplevelsen denne gang hadde vi i en mindre naboby - Chagny. Lameloise er en fantastisk restaurant med 3 stjerner, og det blir sagt at det er Frankrikes 3. beste restaurant. Det har vi ingen grunn til å betvile. Et besøk i landets spiskammers (Bourgogne), passer aldri feil uansett årstid.
